SONOCUBIC FINE® allows interrogation of a STIC volume dataset using "intelligent navigation" which automatically generates nine standard fetal echocardiography views. This method was jointly developed by physicians and scientists at Wayne State University and the National Institutes of Health, U.S.
Congenital heart disease is the leading organ-specific birth defect, and the leading cause of infant mortality from congenital malformations. Yet, the screening and diagnosis of congenital heart disease remains an important challenge for sonographers and physicians.

Spatiotemporal image correlation (STIC) technology has been a major advance by allowing the acquisition of volume datasets from the fetal heart. However, the practical use of STIC in daily screening and the diagnosis of congenital heart disease poses challenges to users.

SONOCUBIC FINE® applies intelligent navigation technology to STIC volume datasets to automatically generate standard echocardiography views recommended by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG).
